Pardon Manchester was born in my town of Westport, Mass in 1818, and later moved to Providence, RI where he made planes from 1841 until his death in 1858. He made nice planes. This large Ogee sprung molding plane has a body that is almost 2 7/8” wide. The profile is 2” wide and 7/8” deep. It is single boxed, with a good blade and only a few very old and inconsequential tack holes in the bottom of the fence—that will not harm. Fine.
