This very nice ivory rule, with good white color, dark markings and no breaks or faults is marked only “London” on one outside leg. The rule is graduated in 10ths and 16ths on the outside of the first leg, and 10ths and 8ths on the other three. The back side is graduated in 12ths and 8ths on all four legs. The rule has its single side pin. It is unbound, has an arch joint and has middle plates. Stanley apparently did not make an ivory rule with this conformation, and the only similar American rule that I can find is the Belcher Bros No. 215 ivory rule. This one is uncommon and is fine.
