Item P36 - Stanley No. 70 Box Scraper.
In much better shape than you usually see them, this “box” scraper dates
from the 1950s, and has virtually all of its original finishes. The scraper
features a pivoting head that can be used on the push or pull stroke. It was
originally made to scrape quickly the stamped markings on crates and boxes so
that they could be reused by secondary packers. Today this tool can be used to
touch up finish scraping jobs, and can be worked closely into corners for
scraping floors, etc. The blade has a 2 inch edge length, and the overall
length of the tool is 13 inches long. Fine.
