This very small knife, probably made and used for engraving (scrimshanding) or carving has a well worked steel blade just 1 ½ inches long, fitted into a bone handle, itself is only 5/8” diameter, and 1 1/2" long. The handle appears to be part of a carpel or tarsal bone from a fairly large animal (Bear? Seal? Walrus?). The butt end of the handle has been drilled, and filled with another insert of bone. Probably Eskimo in origin, this would be a great little knife for fine carving or engraving. Good+
