This
renowned maker of solid folding draw knifes had a number of patents pertaining
the folding and locking mechanism during the late 19th Century. For
my money the relatively simple mechanism found on this example was his best.
This is a very heavy, very high quality tool, and is much better condition than
most that you see. The black staining of the handles is thin, but all else if
in good shape. It is a clean shiny tool with no cracks, chips, rust or
pitting. The edge length is 8 inches with a total wingspan of about 15 inches.
The steel is clean and shiny, and the heavy handle ferrules retain much of their
original nickel plating. It is wonderful tool of its type. Fine
